There are an alarming number of presubmission meetings this week for developments that will significantly impact several sensitive areas of our county.  Stu Kohn, HCCA’s vice-president, and other residents drew the attention of Council Member Jen Terrasa to some of them; she has written to Marsha McLaughlin, concerning impact on infrastructure, traffic congestion, etc.
The foregoing represent development encroaching on a rustic western county countryside, a state park, and intensive new development in North Laurel where there could be 600 new or recent units where there is no master plan.  We need to attend the meetings and publicize them, raise awareness and weigh in with Marsh McLaughlin and the County Executive.
